The storage temperature should not exceed 20°C.

Processing of Natural Seafood Powders
Seagarden AS natural seafood powders are produced directly from fresh, deep frozen fish fillet cuts, shellfish and claw meat. The fish or shellfish is cooked at a temperature securing  the high quality of the products and also minimizes the loss of protein and taste active components.

After cooking, the drying process is carried out either through continuous air drying or by use of vacuum drying techniques. The temperature is strictly controlled to minimize flavour degradation. The cooked, dehydrated product is then micro-milled to a fine powder. Some of the finished products can also be supplied in granule form.

Will they survive processing?

The natural characteristic flavours of the Seagarden seafood products are retained despite the various preservation processes that they may undergo. The Seagarden products have proved this by their inclusion in many successful finished products lines currently on sale in food stores all over the world, which utilize canning, pasteurisation, UHT, pH, freezing, cook-chill, sous-vide and dehydration as methods of preservations.

How much do I need to use?
The suggested dosage level varies between product types, method of preservation and whether the seafood powders are used as the main characteristic flavour constituent or as component in composite flavour blend.

Many years of experience in recipe formulation has shown us that the Seagarden's seafood powders work particularly well in combination with one another, to produce specific, characteristic tastes.
Depending on the application, the normal dosage could vary from 1 – 5 % of the finish dish.
