Seagarden is a Norwegian Public Limited Company (ASA) incorporated on 5 December 2002 and registered in the
Norwegian Registry of Business Enterprises with the organisation number NO 985 220 492, subject to Norwegian laws and regulations.
Seagarden has its head office at Haraldsgaten 162, NO-5501 Haugesund, Norway.

The Company is a specialized marine ingredients company which was founded to produce and commercialise from biomarine raw materials.
A key milestone in the development of the Company was achieved on 15 November 2009 when an agreement with Rieber & Søn ASA to purchase Rieber’s marine powder line was formalised. Seagarden has entered into agreements with Marketing and Distribution partners covering the relevant markets within the food and bioactives sector.

The Company’s organizational structure
Seagarden is a producer of marine ingredients with its own sales and marketing department, and with a 100% ownership of Seagarden AS, Atlantic Ingredients AS, Chitinor AS, Arctic Medical Nutrition AS and the industrial estate at Avaldsnes, Karmøy, Norway.

The Company's current organizational structure reflects operational focus and flexibility. Focus is achieved through an effective limitation of each company’s business idea, combined with lean management, simple rules and full focus on customer and market needs in order to maximize the potential of the business idea.  Flexibility is possible in dialogue with potential strategic partners offering a strategic cooperation with a dedicated subsidiary.

The holding company exercises control through directorships in all subsidiary companies. All administrative activities are conducted in the holding company from the main office in Haugesund. Each subsidiary has a direct link to the relevant customer. Orders and invoicing will go directly from each company to the customer. Key operations in Seagarden related to the production and sales of marine ingredients, now takes place in Seagarden AS and Atlantic Ingredients AS.

Chitinor AS is a 100 % owned subsidiary of Seagarden ASA and is located in the municipality of Berg at Senjahopen, Troms in Northern Norway. This company is responsible for the investment and operation of the Company's chitin factory, which started commercial production of chitin in April 2007 .
